Communicate recently entered into an agreement with Matiq concerning BizTalk development for their parent company Nortura.
Matiq delivers ICT solutions to the whole of the Nortura group – one of the country’s largest food article corporations, with more than 7,000 employees and a turnover of NOK 16,000 million a year.

Using Microsoft’s BI platform, Communicate will be integrating a new data warehouse towards Nortura’s partners. This new data warehouse will be designed to replace the present solutions that are implemented in Powercenter.
The data flow of the project includes animal slaughter information for Tine and Mattilsynet (The Norwegian Food Safety Authority) as well as veterinary information.

The integration environment is based on BizTalk 2006 R2, with an extended use of NAnt. Automated building and installation of BizTalk integrations is central to the development.

“Nortura at the moment is phasing out old communications solutions to be replaced by BizTalk. We chose Communicate as a partner in this task because of their excellent competence and availability in Stavanger,” says Øystein Fuglestad, Data Warehouse Department Manager of Matiq AS.
